Alquimia Fotográfica is an interdisciplinary research endeavor that weaves together education, visual arts, and creativity within the realm of film. Rooted in the principles of handcrafted, analog, and expanded filmmaking, this project seeks to harness the potential of photography and cinema to claim images as a collective, political, and practical device that can be interpreted through eco-conscious practices.

SAMANTA ORTEGA
Samanta Ortega is a lab technician, photographer and teacher from São Paulo. Her work aspires to develop deeper visions on the processes of creating images through alternative and experimental practices such as plant-based photochemistry, slow filmmaking, handmade techniques and the use of recycled, damaged and decaying materials. As a researcher and artist, her multidisciplinary interests in visual arts, dance, design and eco praxis are shared in courses and workshops all throughout Brazil.
